There are a half a dozen, if not more, different face shapes that people can have and hundreds of different hairstyles for each shape. Here are a few tips on hairstyles for round face shapes—hopefully they can help one decide on the perfect do!

If one has a round face shape, the best tip one can have is to flaunt the bangs! A nice look would be to have one’s hair cut in a way that frames the face, giving it a thinner appearance. With hairstyles like that, it’s cute to have the bangs wisped to one side of the face to give it a more framed effect.

The client will want to avoid having bangs as long as their hair and constantly wearing the hair all pulled back into a bun or pony tail. These looks can be very unflattering to the face, giving it a more chubby appearance. We wear black because it’s slimming; we wear our hair to frame our face because it has the same effect.

Another cute hairstyle for someone with a round face is to keep the hair at a medium length with the ends flipped inward toward the face. Depending on the hairline, one can go with either side parted bangs or have them straight down just above your eyes. If the client is one of those people who don’t mind having the bangs in their eyes, go ahead and let them hang longer.

Long hair with loose curls is beautiful on people with round faces as well.
